Education and Outreach Effective conservation of our land and water resources begins with awareness. Our outreach and education programs are designed to address three main ideas: why clean water and fertile topsoil are important to everyone (not just farmers), what human activities threaten these vital resources, and how individuals and communities can make contributions to conserving them. Some of our programs also address other related issues, such as wildlife habitat, land use planning, and agricultural concerns. Presentations By Request In addition to the resources listed below, limited bookings are available for our Education Specialist, Caroline McColloch to do group presentations using one or more of the educational aids or other District resources. With sufficient time for preparation, programs and activities can be designed to meet your group's needs. PowerPoint and slide presentations will be available in 2002.
