Project Description:

The Horning Project is located in Perry Township, Sections 26, 27, 34, and 35.  It is approximately 5,500 feet long, drains 339 acres (watershed size), benefitting 56 parcels of land.  Construction was completed 8/8/90 at a cost of $66,522.59.  Cost share funds reduced that amount by $19,576.02.  The estimated cost to reconstruct this project today is $120,000.00.  Ditch maintenance plans for 2003 and project funding are as follows.

A. 2003 Project Maintenance  

   1. Treat ditch bank for woody vegetation and noxious weeds. Treat cattails as needed.
       Estimated cost: $185.00

   2. Ditch mowing.  Estimated cost: $315.00

   3. Install two blind inlets.  Estimated cost: $1500.00

   4. Repair one tile outlet.  Estimated cost: $300.00
