Project Description:

The Mohler Project is located in Clay Township of Montgomery County, Union Township of Miami County, and Twin Township of Darke County.  The following sections of Clay Township are part of the project: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 22.  It is approximately 39,000 feet long, drains 10,460 acres (watershed size), benefitting 1102 parcels of land.  Construction was completed 4/18/94, at a cost of $547,835.44.  Cost share funds reduced that amount by $200,000.  The estimated cost to reconstruct this project today is $647,000.00.  Ditch maintenance plans for 2003 and project funding are as follows.

2003 Project Maintenance  

   1. Treat ditch bank for woody vegetation and noxious weeds. Treat cattails as needed.
       Estimated cost: $3950.00.

   2. Ditch Mowing.  Estimated cost: $1600.00

   3. Install three berm drains.  Estimated cost: $3,000.00
