Natural Resources Conservation Service

The District Conservationist serving Montgomery County is Steve Boeder.  He is the contact person for landowners who want to develop a conservation plan for their property. Steve also devotes his time and efforts to storm water management, agricultural drainage projects, and stream enhancement.  He is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), and a member of the Upper Great Miami Basin Council, dealing with watershed management on the Great Miami River.

Steve serves on several committees, including The Watershed Enhancement Steering Committee for The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, and The Southwest Ohio Urban Storm Water Committee, handling drainage issues associated with urban development.

Steve has been instrumental in assisting Five Rivers Metroparks with the Highway Beautification Project; they have successfully planted many native wildflower plots along Interstate 70 interchanges and other byways in Montgomery County.
