Farmland Preservation
The Montgomery Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is proud to be a Local Sponsor for the Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program (LAEPP). Through it, farmland owners are provided funding to place an agricultural easement on their property. The easement is a voluntary and legally binding restriction placed on a farm that will forever protect the farmland from development.
